Degas, Impressionism, and the Paris Millinery Trade will be the first exhibition to examine the height of the millinery trade in Paris, from around 1875 to 1914, as reflected in the work of the Impressionists. Featuring 60 Impressionist paintings and pastels, including key works by Degas—many never before exhibited in the United States—Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Édouard Manet, Mary Cassatt, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, this exhibition will also feature 40 exquisite examples of period hats. On view at the Legion of Honor June 24 through September 24, 2017.
