A tour of An American in Paris: The Art of Donald Beauregard exhibition at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Donald Beauregard was a young artist from Utah and worked in New Mexico. He traveled to Paris, France in 1906 and studied the latest artistic developments, including the impressionist and postimpressionist techniques of Paul Cezanne, Vincent Van Gogh, and Paul Gauguin. I also cover his relationship with Edgar Lee Hewett, while also showing the prominent archaeologist’s house and grave. This was a fantastic exhibit about a talented artist who died far too young, and I would definitely recommend a visit for yourself!
Stay tuned for my extensive Paris series!
