Hi friends! So here it is, part two of What students in Paris are ACTUALLY wearing! This video was highly requested, so I decided to return to my art school and interview my fellow students once again about their personal aesthetic—how they style their outfits, their inspirations, what it’s like to dress in thrifted looks, and any advice they might have on finding your own style. Like I said, I started this series of fashion reporting in paris (which was inspired by Lexie Lombard’s American based series, “What highschoolers are actually wearing”), because I noticed there was a ton of clichés about how French people dress and Parisian style. For instance, the French girl who is mininmal and chic and only wears all black. I’ve since done two Streetstyle videos, one which was during Fashion week. (linked down below if you want to watch!) I wanted to show that their is a lot more diversity than this and above all creativity. So I hope you will get some inspiration from these looks—some colorful 80s/90s inspired, others grunge and Y2K, many which are low cost, customized, or diy artsy outfits. It’s also cool that while a lot of items are more big chain fast fashion (zara, h&m) a lot of the looks are cute and sustainable (thrifting for the win!). What I liked the most about this lookbook video in particular, was seeing where everyone gets their own unique inspiration—from arthouse cinema, specific style icons or from experimenting with texture. I hope that this maybe opens your eyes to French culture and encourages you to get creative with your own style! Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe 🙂
